Now all Momma's children have made it out of their shells and into their new home. All seven have a good start and are healthy. All, except for the very last egg to hatch, lily, the only girl platypus. Just before she hatched, Little Paddle hatched and Momma saw the he had such small paddle's for a Platypus, so it was decided that would be his name. All his other brothers and even Lily have paddle's that are appropriate for them, even if Lily was much smaller than Momma would have liked. She was not as active as or moving around as her other siblings. Momma and Poppa just looked at each other as Momma held Lily, so very small for this world. Both Lily's parents knew she would need the best of them and what Nature could provide, to help her gain her strength and make it through the next few weeks, when it is most important for little Platypus. Names will come later, usually naming day was after the first month when it was certain the children would grow to be an adult, but in cases like Lily and Little Paddle, they were names on their day of birth and given a bit more attention for the first month or however long it was.
